No matter how hard we exercise and diet there are certain places that we just cannot seem to shake our remaining body fat. For some of us, it “affectionately” collects as the “spare tire”.
The extended abdominoplasty and/or circumferential body lift gets the body into “beach shape” by:
- Tightening the tummy wall muscles (recuts/abdominal muscles). The tightening of the muscles causes our belly to get that “washboard” flat tummy.
- Sculpting a smaller waist through liposuction of the tummy, flank, and back. In the abdomen, depending on how much fat is present, the liposuction can be used to chisel out the shape of the abdominal muscles.
- Creating a tight tummy flank, and back by removing the extra skin of the tummy, flank, and back
